Villa Las Brisas
Villa Las Brisas is a rehabilitation of a 450 bed H2A farmworker housing campus in Oxnard. The concrete structures were originally built in the 1950s, and the entire facility was in a state of severe disrepair. With investment by the Reiter Affiliated Companies, we partnered with McCarthy Companies to bring the campus a new life. Structural repairs, upgraded utilities and infrastructure were all required while maintaining the historic use of the facility, and timing the improvements to the growing season of the local agricultural crops. The revised facility provides safe, dignified housing, an updated dining hall, new bathing and laundry facilities, new community and recreational spaces, disabled access upgrades, and a sensitive conversion of a portion of the facility for women farmworkers.
