Mesa

Mesa founders Dan Parziale, a long time housing and youth advocate, and Kyle Thompson, an entrepreneur and philanthropist, approached us with an idea: Create a safe, joyful wellness community for the Transitional Age Youth (TAY) population in Ventura County on a 10 acre citrus orchard using tiny homes. They had secured funding from various state, County and private sources with very short time restrictions. Adding housing to an orchard required significant efforts toward the flood plain, electrical services, fire department access, septic system, water service, disabled access, and finding a Tiny Home vendor that could produce on schedule. This stressful combination was adeptly balanced by the labor of love from Dan, Kyle, Rebecca Benard and the County of Ventura staff. We were honored to be a part of it.
